UPSC CSE Notification 2026 Live Updates: Steps to Apply Online
Candidates planning to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 can follow the step-by-step application process outlined below:
Step 1: One Time Registration (OTR)
Visit the official UPSC website and complete the One Time Registration (OTR), if not already done. After successful registration, a unique OTR ID will be generated, which will be used for all future UPSC applications.
Step 2: Online Application Login
Log in using your OTR credentials and select the option for Civil Services Examination – Part I Registration.
Step 3: Part I Registration
Enter your personal information, educational qualifications, and address details carefully as required in the application form.
Step 4: Part II Registration
Upload a scanned passport-size photograph (not older than 10 days, with the date mentioned and a three-fourths facial view) along with your signature. Choose your preferred examination centre and proceed to the payment section.
Step 5: Application Fee Payment
Pay the application fee of ₹100 through Net Banking, debit card, credit card, UPI, or offline SBI challan. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD categories and all female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
Step 6: Final Submission
