A golden opportunity has emerged for job seekers in Bihar as the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is set to launch a massive BSSC Recruitment 2025 drive for 49,591 posts across 10 major departments of the state. Important Developments:
ASO Posts: The General Administration Department had already sent the requisition for 1064 ASO posts on 17th December 2024. These posts are expected to be released under CGL Four soon. Although speculations existed about reduced vacancies, a recent high-level meeting confirmed that this number is likely to rise.
Exam Calendar Awaited: While the Intermediate level exam is tentatively set for July 2025, aspirants are still awaiting an official exam calendar from BSSC. This delay has led to widespread demand for clarity on dates for prelims, mains, and final selection rounds.
Review Meeting Held: On Monday, a review meeting was conducted under the leadership of Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, where nodal officers of concerned departments were instructed to ensure that recruitment is time-bound and transparent.
Requisition Sent to Commission: Out of the 49,591 posts, 14,968 have already been sent to the commission, including:
- 12,199 Intermediate-level posts
- 1,064 ASO posts for CGL Four
- 682 BSO posts
Accountability on Departments: Departments have been warned against delay and lethargy. The Chief Secretary emphasized taking departmental action against officers showing poor performance or delaying the recruitment process.
