OPSC OCS Application Fee 2026
Candidates applying for the OPSC OAS 2026 exam are required to pay an examination fee of ₹500. The fee applies to posts under both Group A and Group B services. OPSC OAS Eligibility Criteria 2026
To be eligible for the Odisha Civil Services Exam 2026, candidates must meet the following conditions related to age, education, language, nationality, and attempts:
Age Limit (as of 1 January 2026)
- Unreserved Category: Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years, i.e., born between 2 January 1988 and 1 January 2005.

Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from:
- A university recognized by the State or Central Government, or
- A deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act.
Language Proficiency (Odia)
- Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Odia and meet any one of the following criteria:
- Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language/subject, or
- Passed HSC or equivalent with Odia as the medium of examination in a non-language subject, or
- Passed Odia as a language subject in Class 8 final exam from a recognized school or institution.
Nationality
Must be a citizen of India.
Number of Attempts
- General Category: Maximum of 6 attempts.
- SEBC Candidates: Up to 9 attempts, if eligible for reservation.
- SC/ST Candidates: No limit on the number of attempts.
Note:
Appearing in even one paper of the Preliminary Examination will count as one attempt.
Age relaxation does not extend the number of attempts allowed.
