The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on 8 February 2026 at designated examination centres across the country. More than 25 lakh candidates have registered for the examination and are now awaiting the release of the exam city intimation slip and admit card, which are expected to be issued soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
CTET 2026 City Slip and Admit Card Release Date
As per previous trends followed by CBSE:
- The CTET exam city intimation slip is usually released around 10 days before the examination.
- The CTET admit card is generally issued 4 days prior to the exam date.
- Based on this pattern, the city slip is expected in the last week of January 2026, while the admit card is likely to be released in the first week of February 2026.
CTET February 2026 Exam Date and Shift Timings
CBSE will conduct the CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 on 8 February 2026 in two shifts across India.
- Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8):
Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon - Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5):
Evening Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Candidates are advised to report to their respective examination centres well in advance to complete security and verification procedures.

Steps to Download CTET City Slip and Admit Card
Once released, candidates can download the CTET city slip or admit card by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Admit Card” or “Exam City Intimation Slip” link under the Latest News section.
Step 3: Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security PIN displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Click on the Submit button.
Step 5: Your CTET admit card or city slip will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Download and take a printout for future reference.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The exam city slip is issued only to inform candidates about their exam city and cannot be used as an admit card.
- Candidates must download the admit card separately once it is released.
- On the day of the examination, candidates must carry:
- A printed copy of the CTET admit card, and
- One original valid photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID.
- Entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without proper documents.
